Thanksgiving - YAY

I'm thankful for my amazing family...they mean the world to me. Glad to get to spend some time w/my boys (and pooches) this week and to watch my guy @ b-ball camp this week. We are going to a nice dinner Thursday after we do a thanksgiving 5k that morning. A week off is great, but always goes too quick...time flies when having fun, right! Anyway - enjoying this week & loving my awesome family...SO very thankful.

Wow...I can't believe it's already been a month since Tyler was born. His parents are doing well and are taking him for his 1mo checkup tomorrow. They're guessing he's weighing 12 1/2 lbs already...big boy! ;)
Riley starts basketball today...1st practice tonight. He's looking forward to seeing who's on his team and he's happy he's gonna have the same head coach from football.
Only 2 more weeks of school and we're out for Thanksgiving break...that doesn't seem possible - where does time go?

1st Post

So, it's been > a year since I set this blog up and have yet to write a single blog post. Well, I'm going to try to keep up with it now.

About my family and me - we have 1 little boy (not so little anymore though) and he is the love of our lives! He keeps us entertained and now that he's old enough to play sports we are constantly on the go taking him to practices & games. He just finished his 1st season of football and will be starting basketball in a few weeks. After b-ball he's told us he wants to do baseball and track. Looks like we're going to be staying busy for a while! ;) As long as he's loving it we'll keep doing it!

It's been 3 weeks now since I got to give a wonderful couple (Carole & Conrad) a beautiful baby boy (Tyler). We are so blessed to be able to go through an amazing journey with them to allow them a child that they'd otherwise be unable to have. I started this process with hormones ~ a year ago, got IVF embryo transfer in January and spent the past 9 months pregnant for them. It's been a special time for all of us - I'm so glad to have had such an opportunity...and seeing how happy the new addition to their family has made them makes it all beyond worth it to me!
We got to spend some time with them after the birth, which was great! They had to go back home this past week. We'll miss them, but I'm sure being back home to raise their little guy is better for them.
Side note - the weather's finally cooler & I'm loving it! I can't believe Thanksgiving is less than a month away already. I think we are doing thanksgiving @ home just the 3 of us this year... Gonna keep it simple & low key!
